The agreement
By creating an account or using STU you agree to these terms on behalf of yourself and, where applicable, the organisation you represent. If you sign a separate written agreement with us, that agreement wins where the two differ.
Your account
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for keeping login credentials safe.
- Admins control who in their organisation can see and do what; role-based permissions are provided for exactly this purpose.
- You must be authorised by your organisation to enter into these terms and to add its people's data to the platform.
Acceptable use
Use STU for running HR at your organisation. Do not attempt to break, probe, or overload the service, upload unlawful content, infringe others' rights, or use the platform to send spam. We may suspend accounts that put other customers or their data at risk, and we will tell you if we do.
Subscriptions & billing
- Pricing is per employee, per month, as shown on our pricing page or in your order form.
- Trials are free and end automatically; we do not charge you unless you choose a plan.
- Subscriptions renew monthly or annually depending on your plan, and you can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- We will give you at least 30 days' notice of any price change, effective from your next renewal.
Your data
Your data is yours. You grant us the limited rights needed to host and process it so the platform works. We process personal data in line with our data processing agreement and privacy policy. You can export your data at any time, and if you leave we delete it from live systems within 30 days.
Intellectual property
STU, including its software, design, and branding, belongs to us and our licensors. We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the platform for your internal business while you have an active subscription. Feedback you send us can be used to improve the product without obligation.
Availability & support
We aim for the platform to be available around the clock and maintain redundant infrastructure to that end. Planned maintenance is announced in advance and scheduled outside UK business hours where possible. Support is included in every plan; response targets depend on your tier.
Liability
We provide the platform with skill and care, but no software is perfect. To the extent the law allows, our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid us in that period, and neither party is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for fraud.
Ending the agreement
You can cancel from your account settings at any time. We can terminate for material breach that is not fixed within 30 days of notice, or if required by law. On termination we make your data available for export for 30 days, then delete it as described above.
General
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If a clause is found unenforceable, the rest still stands. We may update these terms; material changes will be notified at least 30 days before they take effect. Questions: legal@stu.solutions.
